  • I used to listen to this song all the time on my way to hockey games when I was 16. I remember the white mountains in the winter night, in slo mo. In the dressing room, from time to time, fellow teammates would pick up my earphones to check out what I was listening to. Of course they would scream WHAT THE HELL MAN or something, but in a good way. They were used to it. We'd been playing hockey together for half of our lives. Anyway, sigur ros was a part of my life for a year. ' was a good year.

  • My children shall be concieved to this song.

  • beautiful song , i bought it in 1999 and only just rediscovered it in my collection and just put it on my mp3 player .

stunning track that makes me go all fuzzy wuzzy !

  • @SOADownsnubs It's like, you know, whatever. (pun intended)

  • @radicalgarbage02 What is art?

  • i love hearing comments about how this song impacted their lives specifically... eg. what it reminds them of, etc. just that it made an impact.

  • It looks like those amazing people in the video were having the time of their lives making this video. Can't blame them, either. Just look at that setting!

  • muito lindo!!!!!!

  • I used to work in a CD store and would just crank this, and everyone would be wondering what the fuck was going on. So beautiful...

  • @radicalgarbage02 You have to look at the symbolizm, how the wardrobe changes in the song and when, etc to find meaning and through-line.

And not all art is "about being effective and clear'. Some art is created to make you think and work and use the art as a stimulus for critical thinking and reflection. This video could arguably fall into that category. Take a look at some installations ad interactive art, the point of that art is to give you a more visceral feeling, whatever that may be :)
