He's only in the first 30 seconds of the video but it's a good clip to share as they are a rare sight indeed. Here is a Fisher we caught on a trail camera very close to our home in Ontario. He's sniffing around for red, gray and black squirrels and chipmunks. Fisher's can seem quite angry at times but are really just conveying to you that they need their space. I've seen them up to 5 feet long including the tail and as close as 2 feet away. They just do a lot of hissing and snarling and then walk away. They are very adept at dispatching porcupines and were introduced by the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources at one time to control the population of porcupines in the area. Porcupines "girdle" trees by stripping off an area of bark that goes completely around the base of a tree leaving them to die.
