A quick modeling of the earth, animating it to rotate. Its something i have been working on for about 4-5 hours. I realise that this is a 100% exact modeling, with 100% realistic movements. But its good for and afternoons worth of work :P. If any questions you only need to ask my leaving me a message or comment. And as always subscribe!

  • How did you do that sun glow behind the earth?

I have a project on wich I intend to make someone fly, and as this person flyes, with his back to the camera, I wanted to put some sunlight glow around the head, like it was blocking the sun. I think it would be a nice effect and would bring more realism to the scene.

    Nice work, by the way!

  • all i did was make a duplicate of the earth it self and cranked up the contrast and colour settings till the details were no longer there, and i also added a little radial glow to it.. hope that helps.

  • ew the earth stops spinnig after.. ur shit mokee

  • i made it stop spinning it takes up to much ram on my computer, so to make things faster i turned of some of the stuff at the end.

  • You forgot to mention that you followed a tutorial from Video Copilot. That is fine but I think it sensible to mention as such in the description. Cheers.

  • check my animation at my channel!

it's similar to this but with music and cool stuff

  • Australia is not moving. :D

  • Pretty sad if this took you 4-5 hours.. You got the tutorial from andrew kramer from videocopilot... should take about 30 mins max

  • @NathanCipher yea optical flares is how i would do it for sure. 3d layer occlusion is great =] I know KLF has a plugin to do that now too, but I really think Optical Flares looks better, has a better interface, and its cheaper too!

  • 1° : you've done that with the tutorial of videocopilot/com......

2°: it doesn't take 4-5 to make it (max. 30 min.)

so.....don't try to be cool or something only beacause you're telling some sh***

  • @fabreco1984 you can do it with Optical flare. Easy and Relastic.
