Well he is a scholar and in his studies, perhaps his knowledge expanded and so he changed his stance on voting. I know as a "new" Muslim I was taught somethings in error, which I use to stand up for. Now that I've learned better I had to change my views.
The thing I don't understand about our community is, we are not scholars (we just read hadith without knowledge) yet we quickly have many negative opinions about brothers/sisters that are on the front line doing dawah. May Allah (swt) guide us

Im sorry but I don't trust someone who has made such massive u turns in his opinion. A scholar/leader should be open to criticism but people like this gentleman can't take any.

Hid beard is really long in this video

Wait did he actually SAY he supports voting now? if so could you point to the place where he did? thanks. i just want to make sure. jazakallahu khayran

my brothers and sisters, do not fall into the traps of munafeqeen...voting for manmade law is haram, only allah has the right to create laws

@mademan4life I think his concerns are correct. I too have seen the picture of Yasir sitting with taghoot Tony Blair. But I don't know if he has allied with them or taken money from them. I have yet to come across evidence for it.

@BrotherYounis and its dangerous to pass accusations that quickly, u are not all knowing, Onlyt Allah SWt!!!! don't pass judgments that quickly, u have to look at urself n see wat u have done with ur life, before u start labelling other people video, him talking to blair does not mean anything!!! don't be ignorant

@Aafiah23 yea and ive heard hes allied with the americans and ive seen a video with him talking to blair..its funny how people change because of money and dunya
DISCLAIMER: Video is not meant to backbite or slander. But to show Qadhis views before he became 'moderat'ified' and to compare how he is 'now' and how he was 'then'. Jzk.

@BrotherYounis I don't think they are just rumours. He also runs several websites like MuslimMatters and TheJWord.com - I believe he also says voting is allowed.
