Ha I wish people were this nice to me when I am riding. People blow me off the road, don't slow down, etc. Nice job turning off your bike. That was very nice of you.

That's what i call a speedbump. Just try it without the *bump*.

@TheLordMilton Goes nowhere near Lancashire :) it is fairly busy but is probably one of the quieter roads in the area (it is the main route from Ripon to Leyburn)

@PaulaEdwina : Head-Weee-Naaa, I accept one has to go out hacking to give a horse experience of roads and perambulators. However, she should have been on a quieter road than the one she actually was on, which is a main thoroughfare connecting Yorkshire to Lancashire.

@Jezzkuhh Oh! I'm glad to know that there are signs. Besides, the best way to get a horse use to such traffic IS to ride them in it..... Otherwise, how are they to learn?! Have a great day Jezz! ;)

@Deej496 It's ok. I'm just saying that some people do struggle & have to make do. The roads near me are quite bad, but yes there are signs & most local drivers are aware & sensible... but of course you get the odd few muppets. I can't afford to trailer my horses up every time I want to ride out, & as they are both competition horses in heavy work (one prone to laminitis), hacking out a few times a week is an absolute necessity, especially for the laminitic.

@Jezzkuhh I meant no disrespect.... I would just hate to see a horse get injured riding a rode like this.I think if I lived in a place like that I would most likely trailer out to a trail head. Its not the horses that are the problem, its the drivers... Are there,.. Caution; Horses in the Area.., signs around where you ride? If not I think your town council could make a recommandation to the town board to have some put in place. No matter how tough you are, your no match for a car hitting you.

@HMPB08 You're safer on the horse's back than you are on the ground. If you get off whenever your horse messes around, it will soon learn the trick when it doesn't feel like being ridden.

@nrjelley Not long ago all roads were dirt & made for the horse. Horses were there first. No, we don't have the right to take up all of the space & be rude... but drivers have no right to tell us to leave. Horses suffered for cars, made allowments, sacrifices & adjustments... do you think solid concrete is more comfortable for them to walk on than dirt? No. A horse cannot be restricted to a field/arena all of it's life or it will go insane. You're so ignorant about horses - wise up.
can I just ask..why were you filming this anyway?:P

She has had to trot all the way back to get out of the way of the loud stalking bike..why can't motorists and bikers see the effect they are having...swop places for a while...you would stop stalking then matey!
