On August 7, 23 of the best athletes in the USA, representing 8 different states, competed in the first ever national parkour competition, the 2010 APEX Movement Invitational sponsored by XingTea and Native Eyewear (and officially sanctioned by Motion Inc.). Sat Khalsa from Boulder and Erica Madrid from Denver, both representing APEX Movement, were the top male and female athletes.

Check out the other videos on this channel to see the raw, unedited runs of the top performers on each of the 4 courses.

  • Kind of have to find the funny about people coming onto the internet and trashing the way other people have fun with what they love because it is different. Just get off of your asses and do parkour, stop spending so much time dictating to other people what you think parkour is. No money was made here and EVEN IF IT WAS, all of the athletes appreciated it for what it is, and we all still train personal betterment and love parkour for its freeing philosophies.

  • seriously, being an elitist about something you didn't even experience is completely ridiculous. I hope you naysayers realize that.

  • @JakeBenSmith

By saying that you ''argue'' yourself.

we all know that this is not freerunning/parkour, because its not competetive. this is just bullshit, no matter what if they're having fun.

  • so how does someone train in parkour, where could i go to practice this kinda stuff that isnt on the hard concrete that has sharp brick corners, or do i just have to man up and hope i dont fuck up to hard lol?
