@jett888 Robbers can be very persistent. It largely depends on the availability of nectar at the time. Sometimes guard bees will try and kill them, sometimes just evict them. It's hard to follow the logic of a bee, they are an insect. They smell something that doesn't belong, they try to remove it. That robber might have gotten killed inside, you never know.
why didn't that robber bee at 1:40 just fly away? Also, they never did get him off the edge of their box and the bee just walked back into the hive. Are they trying to kill each other or just kick the intruders out of their hive? sorry for all the ?'s
There was one time at my hives where there was a crack in the back corner of a one deep brood chamber hive. A sneaky bee enter in there and about 2 minutes later, I saw 2 bees fly at of the entrance with no warning at what had to be as fast as bees can fly. Almost as if something in the hive found out and started to tackle each other. They fought each other on the ground 2 feet in front of the hive for about 20 seconds and eventually the host bee won.

You should use tripod when recording close up from the distance.

the bees recognize members of their hive by the pheromones they carry from their queen... a robber will have the scent of a different queen.
