I think Gertrude has a great voice, but all the songs were rushed...it ruined it a bit...

whoever thay chose for gertrude mcfuzz had a great voice. kind of seemed to rush through "notice me horton" though

Nice, although I think she could have been more emotion in the fist part of the vid but she was good buring other parts of the video. Nice Job!

she's a student at University of Michigan in the musical theatre program. Meaning...she is the best of the best. And this truly proves it. Fantastic!

yes, this was taped around 2 years ago while she was in 11th grade (16 yrs old) in her local high school, Cypress Bay High, in florida. Holly went on to graduate from Interlochen Arts Academy her senior year, and now attends University of Michigan for musical theatre as a freshman.

her voice is absolutely GORGEOUs..notice me horton was like on Fast Forward though. very fast.
they also skipped a part in All For You. and it seemed fast. where were the bird girls??
idk, directors decisions. but i thought gertrude was AMAAAAAAAAAAZING.

Many thanks!!!!! This was DEFINITELY one of her best roles!! yeah..... high school shows have some compromises --- but in all, this was a fun show and Holly LOVED this character!

i go to a theatre camp every summer, and they are doing this show. I cannot wait because i believe I am gertrude, and i will be upset if i'm not. lol.
she would make a GREAT sarah in Guys and Dolls, that is what my high school did this year. She just looks like one.

thanks! my other favorite role (hers too!) was Lucy in Jekyll and Hyde... a far cry from Gertrude but that is what makes theatre interesting right!??? good luck this summer!!!!!

YES! This are excerpts from Cypress Bay High School's Musical Theatre Production class about 2 years ago (Holly's Junior Year). Holly graduated her senior year this year from Interlochen Arts Academy for theatre and will attend University of Michigan for musical theatre this fall (2007)
