your just rubbing the dirt deeper into the fabric. at least use a shop vac or something to suck up the foam

the foam does not need to be sucked up..its foam! not water. its just bubbles. if there was dirt on it that was suckable dont you think I would of just done that? alchol 90% or better will sterlize and the can of foam is just a way to get in with a form of soap that wont leave a soap residue.

I'll try that on my couch. ^_^ I'm sure it'll smell delightful... and it's something I hadn't even thought of--since my focus is usually "get INSIDE the couch" clean, then out.  But for now, it's not like I have a steam cleaner.. sooo.... wal-mart it is.. lol

People forget chemicals clean well and dont smell like roses. If you want to clean inside the couch wash the cushions after you unzip the seat cloth and remove. or a gentle cycle if they fit in the washer whole. Just fry well. As far as a steam cleaner they leave water in the couch which can mold and rot inside where the hot steam went. steam kills but does not keep killing so its a blank slate for germs to grow. hydrogen peroxide should work if added to the steam water. its what oxyclean is.

oh so you dont like the smell of the walmart stuff? they make other stuff but its from someone else. I say open your windows when you leave for a few. Or you can wash the cushions. just unzip and wash on gentle minus the cushion. Or just fill a spray bottle with alcohol and spray and dry. it removes any smell and sterilizes. Also dries leaving no residue or water.

This is the worst thing in the world you can do to clean your upholstery. Seriously, as a professional cleaner for over 20 years, it you want to do it yourself, NEVER, NEVER, NEVER use a shampoo based cleaner like this rookie. It will only cause residue problems in the future. I have seen it hundreds of times. This is appauling to me that people like this think they are helping the public. DO NOT DO IT THIS WAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Whatever you do people...dony buy fabreexe and spray on your couch cause it makes your couch wet..and once it dries it makes your couch smell like doo doo.If you couch is that dirty just buy some couch covers and cover your couch until you save and buy a new set.Hope this information is valuable lol.

IF your going to clean that way...which is horrible as your leaving all the residue in your sofa, you at least need to rinse it off and suck up excess moisture w a shopvac...ur really just ruining your furniture...

I used that stuff on an off-white suede-looking chair fabric one time and it actually damaged the fabric--made it look more yellow, changed the texture of the fabric, and of course, it stank like hell. The chemical smell never did really go away. The whole time while I was cleaning it I felt like I was gassing myself.

@drewpdrew2004 I hate Febreeze, too. it leaves a gross perfume residue smell. All air fresheners should be taken off the market as they use petrol chemicals that are dangerous to lungs and wreck furniture
