I'm looking at the earth but am thinking the callisto may be a better choice because of the brush head. The callisto comes with the better brush head although it looks like you have that upgraded brush head on yours. I'm also concerned about the longevity of the electronic suction rather than the dial. Any thoughts?

@ceh333 I think the SEB228 (that comes with the Callisto) is a newer brush head that wasn't available on any of the models at the time. I was concerned about the electronics of the Capricorn, too, which is why I got the Earth, but you might be right about the dial being even more reliable. Honestly, the Callisto is probably the best value in the Miele line as long as the new brush head is good. You will be very happy with that choice.

Great. Love my Miele too. Is this the same model now as the old Callisto?
concordenerd 2 years ago
@concordenerd Nope, the Callisto is still part of the current S5 line, but it is a couple models down from this. The main differences are that the Callisto uses a dial to select power levels (no auto), and it doesn't have a HEPA filter change indicator or thermal cutoff (for overheating). Check out the full review on my website for a link to a more detailed comparison chart. Thanks!
