Karelia is the land of the Karelian and Finnish peoples and is a vast inhabited area in Northern Europe of historical significance for Finland, Russia, and Sweden. It is currently divided between the Russian Republic of Karelia, the Russian Leningrad Oblast, and two Regions of Finland, South Karelia and North Karelia.
In the Karelian, Finnish, and Estonian languages, Karelia is called Karjala; in Russian Карелия; and in Swedish Karelen.
Is Karelian still spoken on the Russian side or has it become extinct?

@SoulTakerxRus They don't live on reservations. We live among each other.

@namatson Okay, fair. I trust that they are really happy to live in Indian reservations. And you should youself study more about Karelia.

@SoulTakerxRus Your first comment is fair. But you need to learn more about the subject of native americans. In my region we never fought each other. We lived together.

The TRUTH CAN SPEAK, lies has nothing worthwhile to say: Katyn never happened, Finns started the war, Karelia was a Russian territory from times immemorial, etc. etc.
Hmm...some also say the pigs can fly....the same thing, lol.

@namatson and don't start that WILLIAM WALLACE thing here. The whole United States was carved with Native American blood. What about them?

@namatson We all lost family members then to both sides. Both of mine great-grandfathers were imprisoned for 5 years during Soviet era - one of them was executed in prison. Mine grandmother and grandfather were imprisoned into a camp by Finnish soldier during "occupation". Please we all suffered enough in disputes.
