i was reading into thin air in my film lit class and my teacher did the 20 day trek through the valley of the himaleyas and met rob hall 3 or 4 times and cooked dinner with him. this was 2 or 3 years before the incident luckely. she didnt get to talk to him much be she said he was an amazing guy. i would give to meet him

it was a very sad moment when he talked to his wife before he died. Rob Hall = Legend. Humble + brave man. I wish that i have known him personally. Respect.

why does anybody realice that in part it was because of Rob Hall´s bad decition making that people died at Everest in 1996?

Rob hall was a humble,personable,driven man who everyone liked and EVERYONE respected!! He very well could be alive right now but he refused to leave his client Doug Hansen! RIP Rob ! you now rest upon the Mt. that you loved to get people to the top of! A real Hero
