Coping with tremor.

I have tremors in my hands and sometimes my head shakes a lot. I've had this problem since I was 10. Mine isn't as bad as Bill's but I can say it's so frustating that people I work with notice it and point it out all the time. It's hard for me to keep having to explain to everyone my condition. I feel for Bill. God Bless!

@Al3xander1111 Thank you Alexander. Meditation would only be of any use if there was no physical damage. Sadly my husband has fairly widespread brain damage. This tremor is the only visible evidence of it to onlookers.
As Bill always says, "if it was only the tremor he had, he could find ways of overcoming that", but his balance, fine motor control, memory and other major body systems are affected by the damage caused by a chemical poisoning event.
I wish you success finding a solution.

This is so sad. I have hand tremors, too because of my social anxiety, but it is nothing in comparison to what your husband is going through.
Has he tried meditation or activities that calm the body and the mind? I have been pondering on the thought that if we associated ourselves with our spirit and our soul instead of our body then perhaps such problems like tremors for example would cease to exist...
I send you my love and I pray that you will continue living a happy and beautiful life.

@Oozingmachismo24 ewg (dot) org (froward slash) featured (forward slash) 727 this organisation are trying to make the chemical industry accountable. They do not have to prove that what they make is safe. That is the job of the consumer... to prove that the chemical made them ill. And who can afford to that?

@w0rth8 if you read further down, there are 2 others about your age have similar problems... try contacting them and see if they have ideas or suggestions you could use to deal with this condition better. Have yoo been to see any doctors? Seeing a Neurologist would be the place to start.

well then that needs to change. There are so many loopholes in the laws. So much conflicting information to its hard to know whats safe for you and whats not,

Chemical encephalopathy from chemical poisoning, resulting in widespread catastrophic brain damage! The tremor is the only external clue to all his problems.
The damage is so diffuse that any significant healing is unlikely.
The chemicals have had a corrosive effect on the myelin and our consultant has said this is progressive, and further degeneration is to be expected.
A huge Thank You to the Chemical Industry, which does not have to prove its products are safe for use, check the law!

Chemical Encephalopathy resulting in cerebellum degeneration of some kind? I wonder..Man thats terrible. Is it at possible for his brain to heal somewhat?

We were informed today that Bill has been awarded Workmen's Compensation. No money will ever replace the brain tissue damaged, or the life we lived prior to these incidents.
I have hand tremors and it got worse over my school holidays so i went to the doctors two days ago and went back yesterday to have blood taken to figure out what is causing it.
I understand the frustration that your husband must go through because my tremors sometimes bring me to tears it gets that bad.
It is very nerve racking as i am only fourteen and the tremors affect my school life.
I am very sorry about your husband.

I'm sad to hear your story Nicola. I hope they can find a reason and treatment for your tremors.
Did you see the comment from AhLeeJi before you? They are 15 and have tremors too. Perhaps you could contact each other and compare things, and maybe you will both get ideas for dealing with this problem... especially as you are both still at school.

I am sorry you're going thru such a tremendous tremor and yet you look so normal. You have my greatest blessings and sympathy. I, too, and undergoing a mysterious tremor/seizure. Please take care and wish you well and best. I hope you could apply for disability or medicaid or have a loved one support you.

Thank you for your supportive words. It is difficult when you look normal. This is the only obvious symptom of his massive brain damage. He has disrupted short term memory and has lost the ability to build long term memories. Ever seem "50 First Dates"? Bill's memory is wiped clean every 5-8 days. He is now graded as 100% disabled. Life is very different from how it used to be, but it could have been worse. The chemical exposure could have killed him outright. It never. For that I'm grateful...
