This is a video walk through of how to diagnose, and repair an upper timing chain rattle on a 1997 1.6L Nissan Sentra. We apologize for the poor sound quality, we have since fixed the problem and we hope the content of this video will still be helpful.

  • The Nissan has two timing chains not a belt and trust me you don't want to replace the chains. Just run it until it dies!!
