www.Kingbotz.com This was a project I commissioned about 2 years ago, G-1 Bonecrusher based on a Tonka Mighty Bulldozer. A friend wanted this for his son's birthday, and I knew it would get some wear-and-tear...so I kept the original Tonka paint apps. Half the 'dozer was eliminated and replaced with scratch-built parts, & designed to have a G1-accurate transformation.
THIS IS SO AWESOME ! IVE BEEN BUYING THESE TONKA TRUCKS IN GARAGE SALES FOR SOMEDAY MAKING THEM INTO THE CONSTRUCTICONS JUST LIKE YOU HAVE, JUST DONT KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN ,ANY TIPS?
@xavieritolindo THanks man! All I do is look at the original toy, and engineer the Tonka to transform the same way. By the time it's done, half of the original truck is gone and replaced with scratch-built parts that enable him to transform. You will need very strong materials and hardware so that this thing is sturdy enough to stand on it's own and hold a pose...there's no easy way around a custom this size, it's a lot of hard work.
