By combining incredible IMAX footage with images taken by the Hubble telescope and advanced computer visualization, Hubble's detailed data becomes a series of scientifically realistic flights that unfold on screen like a guided tour of the universe, though time and space.

In May 2009, the crew of the Space Shuttle Atlantis launched a mission to make vital repairs and upgrades to the Hubble Telescope, the world's first space-based observatory, 563 kilometers above the Earth. On board was an IMAX camera, operated by the Shuttle astronauts. It captured stunning sequences of the intricate spacewalks required to make those repairs, as well as close-up images of the effort to grasp the orbiting telescope with the shuttle's mechanical arm at 28,200 kph.

  • WOW!!! I have to see this movie.

  • I saw this in an Omnimax theatre, and the STS-125 launch was easily the most intense experience I've ever had in a theatre, you felt it inside and out!

  • WOW!!!!! Words almost fail me.... :-) STUNNING!

  • OMFG THE Quantity Is Superb and its not even High!!!!!!!!!

  • Yesterday when I was in the Imax Theatre seeing this trailer I almost had a heart attack when the song from Kick-Ass (or Sunshine) by John Murphy started!

  • Look at Cosmic Journey Free trip into space they have an awesome shuttle launch

  • I got to meet Greg Johnson at one of my Cross-Country meets a few months ago! After my race I saw a guy in a blue flight suit and an STS-125 patch on his sleeve so I went up and talked to him. Turns out he filmed the IMAX scenes in orbit!

  • I saw this at an Imax, it was so amazing. And leonardo dicaprio's voice narrating just tops it off ;)

  • I also saw this, in the OMNIMAX dome at the Oregon Museum of Science & Industry. There simply is no other movie experience like this. The scene of flying INTO the Orion nebula and then rotating around inside it. . . .stupifyingly majestic.

  • i have seen 100's of documentaries on all subjects, and i saw this in imax 3d and i can say with 100% confidence that this is the best documentary i have ever seen. i was so lost in it that i forget everything and could just only be in amazement at what i was seeing and hearing and experiencing!! if you missed it, you missed big time!!
