TRA Basic Walkthrough #25-Sanctuary of the Scion 4 [PS2]

I have decided to do a walkthrough for all levels in Tomb Raider Anniversary on PS2. These are guides to help those who are having trouble with a certain part of a level on PS2, as this game can be pretty difficult in some areas.

NOTE: This is a BASIC walkthrough, which does not include finding relics or artifacts, so do not tell me I missed a relic or an artifact.

I would be very grateful if you could help me with this. I cant get further into the game if I cannot make this jump properly. Its the sequence from the ring in the wall on the RIGHT side of the room. I can attach the grapple hook and wall run ok, but it's the kicking off that I can't manage. What way do I pull on the joystick after I let go of the Square button and press X to jump? I have PS2 version of game as well. Hope you can help. Ive tried this dozens of times and patience is wearing thin

Try rotating the camera so that your back is facing the pillar you're supposed to jump to.  If you do this, you pull the joystick back.

This level has to be one of the most difficult and frustrating levels of any videogame ever. Ive been stuck on it for weeks but I refuse to let it beat me. Its getting Lara to correctly kick off from the wall to the cracked pillar on the right just after she lets go of the grapple-swing. I hate that grapple with a passion. Im watching your walkthrough and STILL cant execute that move.
