"Kilts are not skirts because they don't hang from waist & don't enclose legs together" is what has to be believed to say kilts aren't skirts. Of course they are skirts, a particular type, terminology alters nothing. You don't see Greeks denying what they wear is a SKIRT & no fear of that SEX NEUTRAL WORD. Only objections to kilts are denials of what they are and insistence that it's the ONLY nontrouser style men can wear. We Greeks have our own SKIRT for LONGER TIME THAN SCOTS---understand?

you also have my support even though i do not live in the states. i just bought a kilt and its being made in scotland. they are so comfortable for men and we should wear them in public without being disrespect. And you don't have to be scottish in order to wear one. Early kilts and tartans have been discovered in china , africa . Even the Romans wore them. Wear a kilt!
