Nice tutorial. Thanks for the effort. One question: the Category edit screen (2:34 and onward) in the video differs from mine (Joomla 1.5.7) in that I do not have any options to the right. No linking, no image configs, nada. Are you using a different version? Are these configs found elsewhere in my version? I am having trouble wrapping my head around how to create 'pages' in Joomla. I am literally missing the link.
Cheers

Yes, sorry, this is a Joomla 1.0 tutorial. We will have some 1.5 tutorials soon. All concepts are not lost though, try to grasp them, not the details for a 1.5 system.
Thanks

The problem with all Joomla demos or "explanations" are nothing more than repackaging of the standard Joomla document. The difficulty of learning Joomla is finding a good real-world example that illustrates good content organization strategy with Section/Category. Does anyone know of anything like that? Thanks.

How to organize, well that is more about preference after you get the concept that categories are the children of sections. You need to organize your pages in a way where people can find them, obviously, but that takes some intuition. There is no easy answer. You don't need to keep the standard Joomla sect/cat, start fresh, delete those. Treat this organization as the building of the skeleton of your site. The skeleton forms what the body looks like, only you know what your site should look like

Section is the parent and Category is the child but then they get married (?)
