Intravenous Anesthesia -- „Thumbs up, Cathy!"

A hospital stay can be particularly challenging for children and parents, even when they are waiting for the operation. They know nothing about the strange surroundings, the equipment and staff, and they do not feel safe.
The 5 minute long film "Thumbs up, Cathy", helps children and parents to understand the events before and after the operation better, so that they feel more comfortable in these unfamiliar surroundings.
The process of intravenous anesthesia is shown through the story of Cathy, a brave six year old facing an operation. Her older brother Tom supports her through her hospital stay by making a documentary, "Thumbs up, Cathy".
