The Caribbean Carnival is an exuberant annual event in DC. It begins with a huge parade. These pictures and short videos were taken with EOS 5D Mark II using Canon L-series 24-105mm short zoom lens on 27 June 2009 (along Georgia Avenue in NW, DC). I used Lightroom 2.4 to do the initial photo-editing followed by additional work in Photoshop Elements 7.0 (using Topaz Simplify and Topaz Adjust plug-ins). Some of the pictures were rendered from RAW into pseudo-high dynamic range (HDR) using Photomatix. I used Noiseware Standard to reduce the amount of noise in the resultant p-HDR images.
