Here is Episode 2, Part 2 of "Cape Perpetua: Exploration by Sea" from "Landmarks of the Old Oregon Country". You will see how Pacific Ocean got its name, name of Cape perpetua how it got it, Captain cook, Robert Gray. You will also hear how "Columbia River" got its name. Sadly, when explorers came to the new land and native americans try to trade with them, the explorers carry diseases such as measles, chicken pox, etc. which back then no way to cure it and the villiage life has changed forever.
