After many weeks of ground handling this is a video of my first ever paramotor flight. As you can see I took off at my first time of asking. Many thanks to Paul Haxby of AXB Sports.

  • Kind of wing is it your flying here Ian? nice one mate, bet the engine out freaked you out a bit though.

  • Didn't have time to get freaked out by the engine out! Only realy thought about it after I landed, I'm still suprised to this day that I didn't panic. The wing is a Powerplay Sting (more comonly known as a Swing Arcus) and the motor is one of Paul Haxby's. Still got the wing but now have my own PAP 1300 Corsair that I still haven't flown yet. Watch this space for videos as soon as I do....

  • whats the name of the track and artist please

  • It's the mighty EC of course (Eric Clapton) and the track is 'I Feel Free', it's just how I felt when I finally managed to achive flight. Good louck to all who try to fly with Paramotors, it's the future....

  • look forward to it mate, cant wait to try mine.

  • Well done Ian... Ive just done my first flight in ppg too, great that you didn't get spooked off the sport because of the engine out! Congratulation's on becoming a pilot..hope you got the same buzz that i did...mine is on you tube as well...(my first ppg flight) and (my first ppg landing) blue sky's Ian!.....Marty..(a fellow pilot!)

  • Forgot to mention, excellent recovery as the wing was on it's way over to your left when you turned. ALWAYS make sure the wing is stable before turning and DON'T rush it. My tuppence worth!

  • Excellent Ian, well done!! Takes guts to get back up there after an engine out. That was my worry with Cheryl on my old RAD, lol. You Tube "Cheryl Noyce's first take off". Her landing was better than yours and she can probably bake a better cake!! Say hello to Paul for me and a big well done to you both. Steve (Mad Cow) Cowham.
