Blue faces off against the Hell'sLord with the fate of Magic Kingdom hanging in the balance.


Phew, this is a fight and a half. I consider Hell'sLord the most difficult end boss in the entire game, sure there's a glitch with OverDrive and Stasis Rune you can use to cheap-o win this fight, but that takes out the satisfaction of actually taking this guy down without using glitches.

He has 2 forms, a human-like form where he uses 3 attacks that hit all party members: Illstorm that deals no damage but inflicts characters with venom, Smile which also deals no damage but inflicts Palsy, and Sabers which will deal 300-400 damage to all party members (and bypasses armor).

For me, he loves to use sabers in this form...

In his dragon-like form he becomes an attack powerhouse. Using all three breath attacks or attacking 4 or 5 times every turn. If you use a ShadowServant Shield like I do, you won't have to worry too much about the physical attacks, but the breath attacks are something you really should look out for.



I honestly thought I would have to re-record the video near the end since Blue was down to his last LP, so I had to play cautiously and make sure Blue was well healed. Liza was the biggest damage dealer with DSC, but she ran out of WP early on (and a lot of DSCs weren't the full combo). After Liza lost her WP it was just a fight to stay alive and deal damage whenever I could... then Emillia finally had enough and shot Hell'sLord in the face and it was all over XD


And this brings Blue's Chapter to a close. According to what I've heard, in the book of Saga Frontier Blue's chapter in the game is actually reversed. In the book, Rogue wins the Duel and goes to Hell to save the Magic Kingdom. Also the book says that Rogue is trapped in Hell once he enters it, since, I think, while he is keeping Hell'sLord busy, the magicians from Magic Kingdom are resealing the entry. This makes Blue's ending in the game make a little more sense, because you are essentially playing out the end story after the credits. Once Hell'sLord is taken down the screen turns brown with the words "The End".

You know, for having sat through all them hours watching you destroy this game, that ending's got to be the most anti-climactic I've seen. Reminds me of Breath of Fire... Still, nice walkthrough.

I guess we all have our own final boss that we have a difficult time with. Cuz for me, out of all the bosses, Hell's Lord was the 1st Final Boss I managed to beat, I didnt even know about "Overtime+StasisRune Glitch". For me, MasterRing was the hardest of the bunch. I guess its because Hell's Lord doesn't use Sabers on me a lot
