THIS VIDEO IS ABOUT OBSOLETE INFO. I'm working on a new video about necrons currently, check my videos to see if I've submitted it. (31 OCT 2011)

A long video, packed with information about the Necron Codex Update from sources I have learned to trust in the past. I cannot promise this information is true, but this is as close as you're going to get to the truth until Games Workshop releases information themselves.

You'll see me slip on my words quite a bit, but this was a tremendous amount of info I wanted to give you guys, and I wanted to get it to you as soon as possible.

Thanks to Yakface from the dakkadakka.com forums who posted most of the information I give you here, in a coherent readable manner.

  • I have heard a rumor that the Necron Lords have been given sentience and infact turned against the C'tan and turned them into their slaves in a twist of irony. Also that each has his own dynasty and ideals any truth to that?

  • @Jpipooly Yes. You actually have it right. This video is way old, and all of this stuff has been proven in the White Dwarf release November 2011. I'll be releasing my codex review in a couple of days, so stay tuned for that.

  • honestly i've only played necron's once and i can already tell Necron warriors are STUPIDLY weak in melee. and rely too much on the the need for a monolith to beam their asses up outta CC what they would really need is for their flayer's to reduce the movement range of enemy infantry by about an 8th of an inch for each successful hit, maybe a 10th of an inch if their rapid firing.

  • @GearShotgun

Perhaps it would be easier to keep track of if you just made any unit within 12" of Flayed Ones count as being in difficult terrain.

Yes, the truth is that ALL necrons suck at assault, except the Nightbringer, who probably won't live long enough to get that close. Flayed Ones are pointless and Pariahs usually die before they get to kill a lot of models.

  • hey i have necrons, but im thinking im going to sell, when should i sell? before or after the update? Im thinking people will buy after but will they just want the new stuff? hmmmmm

  • @Ezunit1991

After. Necrons will be hot, but no one is going to want to pay full price for them. You can sell yours for a fair amount. Chances are that most units will keep their old models, and those that don't will probably be desirable as OOP items.

  • @GearShotgun im happy its not a FNP honestly. The Reanimation Protocal (5+) cant be taken away by anything

  • @CSMatherly they didn't have that in White Dwarf, but hey that makes it even better

  • @GearShotgun no...no no no no no no no no.... no..... Where'd u get ur information. Sure the codex is out now, but c'mon I knew we weren't gonna have a FNP months ago. First off, we'll be back is now a reanimation protocol 5+. Rez orbs make it a 4+. Now, TRIARCHS AND LYCHGUARD SUCK DICK. they sound nice but they have initiative 2 and they're 40 pts per model.

  • NECRONS ARE COMING BACK WITH AN UNHOLY VENGANCE!!!! Lychguard, and Triarch Preaetorians are new 5 to 10 model melee squads. Lychguard can each use warscythes(all of which ignore saves), or new Hyperphase swords and Dispersion shields, which can deflect any shooting attack an enemy squads thats within 6' Praetorians are jump infantry who can use Rods of Covenant, power weapons that can double as AP 2 assault weapons. we lost we'll be back but every unit has Feel No Pain, so were here to say.

  • OOHHHHH MMMYYYYY GGGOOOODDDDD

SCARAB SWARMS ARE GETTING METAL EATER BACK!!!!!

  • I like the disclamers!

  • i have necrons in fact i have about a 9-10 thousand apoc army of them and hearing these new rules made me so happy sounds like my army can actually win now without having to rely on just monoliths to bombard the crap out of everything i hope these rumors are true so badly *prays*

  • @diesel7270 i see what you mean its probably just better to keep all of them in reserve in front of the firing line, so you can have them tie up anyone who wants to get at them and have the warriors keep firing into them. but hey i won't know until i try.
