may i know is bar chord necessary when playing single notes? when playing single notes. It still sound the same when holding a bar chord? bar chord is only neceasary when playing strum ?

I'm afraid yes. At least that's the only way i manage.
The other possible way might be that you can try reaching out for the bass notes using your thumb. Hope this helps. :-)
