One of my all-time-favorite movies. I couldn't wait for this to be released on video/dvd. Every time it was on TV I'd try to watch it and have to endure the networks editing-the-living-hell-out-of
-it! The entire opening sequence was edited out! Along with most of the violence (!) thanks to conservative '80's censorship! Get the DVD version. Much better picture quality!

Great score from the composer of " The Magnificent Seven" OST.

"Angel... you're a pig."

Great theme. Ken Heckler, the author of the book "The Bridge at Remagen", lives in West Virginia. He is a former Secretary of State and member of Congress. He was the only member of Congress to march with Dr Martin Luther King in Selma, AL.

A fantastic film - always saddened when Robert Vaughn (Major Paul Krueger) is put in front of the firing squad.

Great score, second only to "Where Eagles Dare" IMO
I love the Bridge At Remagen theme. Elmer Bernstein rocks!! But I was wondering where I could find the Heavy Metal score. Or if it was still in print ?

@TheSpelldoctor I have not come across the score your looking for in years, but it must "exist" somewhere, I'd love to hear it again myself!

One of my favorite movies and very underrated. Robert Vaughan is awesome and Ben Gazzara is simply on another planet. Not a bad performance to be found.
I love the duality of the score, the almost "Western film" theme for the Americans and the classical sounding sections for the Germans.

Yes indeed, Beb Gazzzara was perfectly cast for war movie like these and the theme was fantastic.....it sounded military yet western at the same time.....great movie especially as it's based on true events!
