Big women come in alot of different sizes not just the one size people seem to think we all come in, Tanisha Malone has extremely wide hips, and a smaller waist, but because of her hips, a common trait for voluptuous women, she is considered plus size, she is in no way thin but just a different full figured body build, she won because she exuded that confidence on stage. Joanne Burgella won the year before this and she was twice as big as her, and beautiful.

BTW, my daughter Tip Jones competed with Ms. Malone in 2006 and today, though she still models occasionally, she is primarily a "guerilla" marketer for the full-figured industry. Regretfully, too many viewers are missing the point. F.A.T. stands for Fabulous and Thick and has nothing to do with simply being fat. Truth is, most full-figured women, until recently, didn't believe they were attractive enough to be considered models. Monique's F.A.T. Chance is a springboard which allows full-figured women to propel THEMSELVES forward into not just modeling, but all areas of the fashion genre, be it in front or behind the camera. You feel me?

I thought the show was about FAT chance. To give women who never had a chance at all in life, not women who say i use to be a cheerleader in high school or i use to be thin or whatever. It would've been nice to see a big girl win who's been big all their life and never had the chance to do anything because of their weight. So that they can finally have their chance to shine.
