This was probably the longest "televised" game...But the longest game in history (as far as I know) was in 1936 with a Montreal game lasting all the way into 6th overtime...

Acutally it was "modern playoff history" but w/e. Still has the same point.

But if you listen, he says "modern day hockey" meaning that the two games in '33 and '36 aren't included. And Bcboi92, that game wasn't longer. Pretty sure it was only 4 OT's, but I don't know for sure.
