Chat with an appalling driver

Teljesen értelmetlen centizgetés, még 30 centi se volt a könyököm és tükör között úgy, hogy semmi sem akadályozta a biztonságos sávváltást. Nem számítottam, hogy ilyen sofőrrel lesz dolgom, azt hittem, elég lesz egy egyszerű kérés. Hangjából érezhető, hogy nem kedveli a kerékpárosokat, ki akarja zavarni az utakról. Pedig tudhatná, hogy mennyit köszönhet a kerékpárosoknak. Ha minden kerékpáros ugyanúgy autóba ülne, az alábbiak lennének:
- kevesebb esély parkolóhelyet találni
- jóval hátrébb lenne dugóban, lámpáknál
- több útkarbantartás lenne
- még szennyezetebb lenne a levegő (a videóvétel idején rendelték el a szmogriadó tájékoztatási fokát)

A végére raktam egy képet az előzésről, állapítsátok meg ti, tényleg az út közepén mentem?

English:

This friday, while I went to my workplace, the driver of this old white Renault didn't overtake me safely, and it was unnecessary, the other lane was empty. He stuck at the red lamp, so I caught him.

The converstation:
Me: - Good Morning. I would like to ask you to overtake (us) with bigger distance.
Driver: Yeah? And you go on the middle of the road, doesn't you?
Me: I just ask you to keep bigger distance.
Driver: You go on the middle of the road, doesn't you? What is your matter? What is your matter? What is your matter?
Me: Then where should I go?
Driver: Are your afraid? Then don't hit, if you are afraid. There is green. (Then he went away)
Me: Uh, you aren't normal...

I think, he dislikes the cyclists, and he wants us to go on sidewalks. If he wouldn't be milksop, I would explain to him, what is the problem. And, certainly, the factes, why should he thanks the cyclists, who didn't choose cars.

I put the picture of the overtake. Please adjudge it, did I ride on the middle of the road? (I know, no, he was a dickhead)

If anything (like me) you were too close to the gutter. That driver clearly has no respect for cyclist, probably thinks he is more important because he is in a car, what a sad little mind

YOu prbably did ride in the middle of the lane, rather than the road. But that's good - a strong position discourages the sort of close pass that you encountered... Most other drivers responded by passing safely and with lots of space.
