My new rod holders, And my new Rod and reel combo

These are my new rod holders I Made....I came up with this idea..And i dont care if you guys do it..I think it is a good I idea...If you want to Circle hook on this you will Have to find a way to brace the front like a 2X4 with a notch cut in it or even a Piece of pvc....All it is is a 1/2 in Drift master rod holder and a 1/2in long nut and a 36" piece of all thread..The combo it a Abu garcia 7000i ($120) and 65lb Power pro hi vis braided lne ($23) and a 7' H action Power plus rod...To make the rod holders all you need is like $30...The all thread was $5 Long nut $1 and rod holder $25, but you can find cheaper rod holders if you want..

abu garcias are the shit arent they? i have an old 5000 that was my dads. im getting a new one this friday. in the red color. do you recommend any cheap rods under 35 dollars?

@TheAvidCatfisherman I love my abus!!! I have a 7000i and a 7000c3i......As of rods the one in the video is a Power plus rod from bass pro and i love it!! This is the boat model and is like $30 they have some that are 25 that dont handle sinkers above 5oz. another would be the american nightsticks..

@2066241, hey, i just got the bass pro rod shipped to me a couple days ago that your recommended, and i love it. i love the trigger on the bottom. helps alot. should be getting my new ambassaddaeur 6000 w/clicker arriving soon.

@TheAvidCatfisherman Sweet, Im Glad you liked it....Hard to beat for 25$...and you cant go wrong with a Abu!! I have 2 6000 that i use for channels...It is over kill....But i have to sling big sinkers so i have to use bigger than needed reels. The 6000 should haul in some nice fish for you!... I know a guy that recentally caught a 60lb blue on a power plus rod..and had another one and lost it right at the boat!!!!
