Katja and Lisa's Escape

Once the Gestapo had arrested their friends, Katja and Lisa escaped to Poland to go into hiding with Katja's father. After the war, Katja Casella made a drawing about the experience. In 2008, Stefan Roloff animated the drawing after discovering that Katja Casella was still alive. The music was composed by Martin Rev. Heinz Strelow and Katja Casella had belonged to a resistance network which the Gestapo would later call the Red Orchestra.
