She is a far-left congresswoman, who represents a district that was once very Republican in the SF Bay area, represented by Tom Campbell. It is now strongly Democratic, however more money comes out of her district for Republicans than most districts in the country. Her district includes many well known wealthy Republicans like Charles Schwab, Meg Whitman, Steve Poizner, and Steve Young.
