What's with those of you complaining about running? These guys obviously don't know what they're doing but there's nothing wrong with running. Look of any video of my department(District of Columbia Fire Department) or others in my area(PG County) and you'll see all of the top companies running their lines. These are two of the busiest and most aggressive departments in the country. Stop running your mouth when you have no real experience other than your text book/ little college FFI class.

@worcsrdr317 What went right? You were training, that's good. After that it's all downhill. Absolutely no need to be on air. No running. Hyt. man's pack was not on all the way, that's why the low air whistle is sounding. Use a piece of webbing or rope in a clove hitch to secure the loop, always keep your hand on the bale so if you lose it, it will close as the nozzle moves back. Pressure was too high or the bale wasn't open all the way judging by the stream. #1 BE SAFE!!

Why did everybody want to yank on the hose while the ff is sitting on it and flowing water? It's obvious what's going to happen. Tell the ff you want to make an adjustment so he can either shut down or brace himself and the line. I'd be pretty mad if i got the hose yanked out from under me. This is how you learn though. Glad nobody got hurt. good video.

Seriously? your training and your running? your lucky no one else go hurt or worse.

@worcsrdr317 Running can cause all sorts of injuries from tripping and falling. Also it's NOT YOUR EMERGENCY, so don't make it that way. Also running tends to increase your adrenaline and add to your fatigue. Being able to walk on a fireground/emergency scene yet with a sense of purpose shows that you are in control of yourself, helps to calm your own emotions with whatever maybe going on and helps prevent several different injuries that can occur.

@worcsrdr317 Mess ups like this can get someone seriously injured or killed... even in training. Unfortunately those serious mistakes are made sometimes but I hope the seriuosness of these mistakes were reviewed with the training class.
were they ok

The guy on the hose line didn't even signal for water. He wasn't even ready, he almost fell back off the hose. Obviously other things wrong with it that have already been mentioned.

@GlockGuy40Cal yaaaa this crew messed up a little. i think thts wat screwed this drill up was tht and them plug man should have never left the hydrant. and various other things. but the only way to get better is to mess up and learn or learn from other ppl.
