@cestmoi176 Thanks for your explanation. You described it way better than me but I meant the same thing :D And I agree that this has nothing to do with a REAL drift. Still extremely impressing though.

@leexr2i Yes, I know. I saw that after watching the clip again. He's definitely sliding the car without using his handbrake

with a FWD unless you contantly pull the handbrake and use the throttle. Japanese drivers are very good in keeping a FWD car into a drift just using the handbrake AND throttle.
Look at this you everybody will understand what I mean: watch?v=JQMQkMvRG3I
This is were I practise car control: google: JESCO.be

@ChrisA7X89 understeer because the combind force on the front wheels is to high for the front wheel to keep their grip.
In this case (video) he can only drift the car is he is keeping the car in this slide using his trottle and steering wheel. Not forgetting LOOK where you want to steer you car at. Using the throttle with a FWD is not possible if you are not touching the handbrake. The front wheels will pull the car out of the slide. A controlled drift can be done with a AWD and RWD car, not

@ChrisA7X89 Yes, you are 100% correct but the video title says that it's a drift and this is not a drift it's sliding the car.
I have 10 year experience in car control and I know how to initiate a slide/drift. What you mean is that when you lift off the trottle the weight of the car goes to the fron of the car resulting in more front wheel grip and less rear wheel grip. If you are turning slightly, you car will oversteer. If you turn way too much even you front wheel will lose grip resulting in

You don't even need the handbrake in order to make a car slide.
You can try it yourself at low speeds on a dirt road or something similiar. Go straight, than begin to steer into a corner. Once the car is heading to the corner lift your foot from the gas. The sudden "stop" in accelerating and the G-Forces push the back of the car "to the front" and to the outside of the corner. Tried it with my Mondeo few days ago. Works just fine, even at lower speeds.

Impressive, not bad for a FWD drift, but RWD is more fun- you don't have to lift off the throttle, you just push it down further.
