This is the opening to Thundberball that I edited to feature what was intended was the original opening song, Dionne Warwick's "Mr. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang."

Sorry to comment again so soon, but I keep watching this over and over, and I have that feeling that this is better than the Original Jones version and I hate saying that! But this Dionne Warwick version is just so beautiful and amazing! It's inspiring!! Oh Man How I love this...

Because the title 'Thunderball' was not in the lyrics of 'Mr. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang', they wanted to wait until after the title had appeared in the opening credits before the singing started. Thus, the long instrumental intro. The Shirley Bassey version of Mr. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang doesn't have the long intro.

Not as good as Tom Jones' version. The first musical intro before the words start is very patchy and disoriented.

No because even though it has a good theme and feel to it its far too outdated plus Daniel Craig is Not tall and dark as the lyrics suggest this was made for Sean Connery and the 60s Bond.

Someone else said. I think this was a straight steal for Adele's 'Skyfall.' just changed the chords around a bit. and added "Cwumboll" and "Skafowl". Rumbled!

It may have needed some 'tweaking' but I'm afraid I do like this better than what they used.

I like the music, but the lyrics . . . you can get away with rhyming "killer" and "vanilla" in a more exciting song. Not here. I usually prefer Barry's more lush music like "You Only Live Twice"; "MR. KKBB" fits that category. But in 1965, with all the people packed in to see the Bond installment following "Goldfinger," replacing this song with the Tom Jones "Thunderball" makes sense. This sounds like a good internal tune, to play when Bond and Leiter walk into a nightclub or bar, say.

You people! Cubby & Harry made the right decision, having this song replaced by the tune sung amazingly by Tom Jones, and, no, his song was not a rehash of Goldfinger (pull your fingers out of your ears or elsewhere). By the way, MGM/UA and EON did not exist in 1965. It

was United Artists, then a Transamerica company (at the time unaffiliated with the MGM subsidiary, also called MGM but MGM Ltd.) and Danjaq SA.
