I was recently at a political party meeting to elect precinct and ward chairs. Exactly 8 of us showed up. Naturally we elected ourselves to the positions and will attend the next highest meeting which is County Wide. When you see how few people it takes to take over a political party is it any wonder we are getting screwed. It was the same with the unions. Only a few show up until wage negotiations then suddenly they are all interested otherwise, let someone else do it and then complain.

Yep. Most of these politicians are paid for. They know exactly what to say to get votes. They have no shame! They'll sign away our Constitutional rights for $1,000,000.

Also disappointing is the number of "for the people" politicians who leave office and get a high paying position as a lobbyist for the very corporations they swore to protect us from. Dick Gephardt was especially a disappointment.

Once these politicians get corporate sponsors, they change their whole outlook on life.

She is very wealthy. So are all our representatives. Very few leave office as paupers. Why not check out her wealth as compared to other politicians or government office holders. America has become the same as so many other democracies where only the wealthy can afford to run for public office. The Clintons and the Obamas were an exception but they are rich now.

And she's also very wealthy. I don't trust people like that. They say, "Tax the rich," but they probably have tax shelters & tax-deferred savings. The only way to stop her is to convince conservatives & libertarians to move to San Francisco. Personally, I can't afford to rent an apartment for $2000 a month.

Nancy Pelosi runs every two years in a district where she is VERY POPULAR. There is no chance that she will not be reelected over and over as long as she wants to be.
