Today I raised the aframe onto the frame of the 24" table. This put the apex at about 30"? I did 7 reps. I through her chuck-it ball. She did the first 6 perfectly - but of course I had to do one more - it was not bad, but she sorta suspended one front foot above the apex stride and then on the way down, she had 3 feet in and one front foot one the top of the box. I believe it was the one that she hovered with. I will leave her at this height for a few days, then take away the jump altogether. I will leave the stride regulator on for the remainder of the training process. Any feedback is welcome!

  • Thanks for the support! I hope that this might help some other people training it and that I can get some feed back on what looks good and what doesn't!

  • I worked much more on both sides when I had it on just as jumps. I have some on the frame, but the current configuration is much easier to be on her right. My plan is to change the up for the next session - if I can bare to be out there anytime soon. I may set up something in the building this one day this week. If I do I will try to get that taped and I promise to work the other side. Thanks for keeping me honest!

  • I am curious too! I will keep uploading the progress. Keep your fingers crossed!

  • Hi there, Just came across your a-frame box videos and am enjoying them a lot. I'll be retraining one of my dog's frame this year using Rachel's box method so it's especially interesting to see how others, like you and Cheetah, are working through it. I like the comments you put in via subtitles! Good luck with the rest of her a-frame training.

  • In the last one, it looks like her striding got off and she stutter stepped? However she recovered and hit inside the box. You are working her on both sides of you, I hope :-)

  • looks good! I'm curious to see how her finished performance will be. your videos are a good explanation of this method, thanks!
