Destiny church-a modern, outward looking church has completed it's purchase of a new multi-million pound city centre facility.
As far as we can tell, records show that this is the first time in a 100 years that a church as acquired or built a new facility in the heart of the city of Glasgow.
Situated at the head of the town- Town head, this dramatic, glass building sits next door to Strathclyde University, across the road from Glasgow cathedral, in front of Scotland's Biggest hospital, and at a busy intersection.
Senior Pastor Andrew Owen-said that in his view, this is nothing short of a miracle. Here we are in the world's worst recession and a church buys one of the few buildings that have sold in the city this year.
Pastor Owen also said, we faced overwhelming odds to complete the transaction, but the power of prayer and faith in a living God, matched with a fantastic passionate church made the impossible possible.
The building will open it's doors next week at a basic level, and then begins an extensive development plan, bringing jobs, services, hope and life to a once blighted area.
It is intended to have a nursery, state of the art conference centre, restaurant and coffee shop, recording and rehearsal studios. Destiny already runs it's own TV studios and network, and runs an extensive community programme from it's current Shawlands base.
Destiny church is appreciative of the positive support it has received from Glasgow city council, and politicians of all parties. Destiny thinks, that in partnership with an innovative city leadership-we can make a huge difference.
We look forward to seeing you at Destiny City-coming soon.
This is a great video! I've been to this church and this building, but never got to see it as the bank. This is a great church and I can wholeheartedly recommend it!
God bless you Destiny Church!

If you have a problem with the faith why do you come on here for and spread gossip, probably because you don't have anything better to do!

@keithnewby I see! Well, in fairness to me, I assure you, I do not hate the guy. Infact, I can't honestly say I hate anyone for that matter. I just feel it necessary to confront 'dodgy doctrine' when I see it. And the rock 'for' ages was an intended play with words hehe. Well well. So good to get good vibes from UK. If not for peeple like u, it's all doom and gloom for the natives 'sent to the fire' :-)

Maorichannel: In fairness to the bloke in the video above...........he's alright when you get to know him.He has a tendancy to emphasise the provision of God, so to speak. I used to work for him about 20 years ago.

"Rock of Ages" and it's just me......and I don't do carrols....mostly acdc to ZZTop and everything in between.
I think it was Constantine that sent the main stream Christian Church brand a bit dodgy. Since he being like emperor, and newly converted christian, made it a little awkward not to be or at least say that you were a christian too, if you wanted to get on in the world. Hence from then on, whatever the emp' or Pope said ..kinda went...and if you didn't like it then it was the fire 4 ya.

Keithnewby..., thank you, thank you, and a thousand times thankyou with all my heart, 4 yr quintessential and most righteous acknowledgement. Many hearts will weep upon reading yr comment above. May u and yr band, 'rock for ages'! Hark the herald angels sing, here stands before us, a righteous UK man!! I must be quite contrary tho..., in the days of pioneering, even I would have found it hard to resist the temptation of easy money to found new churches. Nevertheless, much love 2 u my friend :)

lamentably...some of my "christian" brothers have a hard time coming to terms with an abhorant church history. Some have no idea of the sort of things that have been perpetrated upon peoples in the so called name of "Jesus / God" However, those who did these things, were also guilty of pirating by nicking our brand name and logo.....In fact, the historical and traditional "church" is possibly the very best example of how the pirate brand became more prominant than the authentic brand.

Easy on ther McPhan :-) I sense th same resentment tht saw Maori executed in th name of land upon which 2 build, and resources with which 2 sustain. Howeva, I take yr point, and ask u this: Is it right for me to accept donations from poor pple and drive a flashy car while they continue to struggle? Doesn't a decent sense of morals require that ONLY poor pple are direct benefactors of their donations NOT investment security for grand displays of surplus wealth? U say 'the poor, I say 'poor pple
