should be careful making such proposals, surprisingly a lot of people have entirely too many reasons to justify the killing of babies. Racism, religion, intellectual cleansing, population control, and sadly just for fun are all examples of actual reasons "SOME" people would literally kill babies. Personally, I don't think i could kill a baby, but I am well aware of my inclination to kill other adults; and it is something we should all constantly monitor in all of our major decisions.

well none of these issues (abortion, age of accountability, etc.) were issues at the time of the bible. How could the bible have predicted the emergence of such issues? It would have been strategically beneficial if the writer of the bible had left some things even vaguer or open to the possibility of some influence to change them. Funny thing about the bible is there is no time between now and revelations, where a new prophet, or any other occurrence will change christian beliefs.

There is a difference between consciousness, and potential consciousness. For example, every second you are not impregnating a woman, you are preventing a potential consciousness. Let's say you could have in a time span you could have had 100 children, if you didn't than you just killed 100 people.
