  • can anyone tell me if this is a legit website?? are there any articles that review this site say like from cnet or any tech magazine??

  • @zeroa69 We have only the one article currently, it is in the Pittsburgh Technology Council magazine. This is local publication, though you can search the PTC website to find our listing and a recent article about our company. We can guarantee you that we are a legitimate company with the goal of providing a cost-effective solution to replacing your damage iDevice. If you visit the waybackmachine through the Internet Archive you can also find our site's history, 5 years.

  • I bought the battery from your company which solved the problem of it not turning on, but now the wheel wont work. I have taken it apart and tried to use the buttons on the main board to see if that works but that doesnt either, is my mainboard bad?

  • @Bguado It does sound like the mainboard is the culprit. The clickwheel could be a secondary but from your description I would believe that the mainboard is not functioning properly.

  • HOUSTON I HAVE A PROBLEM! My wheel can scroll, but it the forward, reverse, menu and play buttons wont work! PLEASE ANSWER ASAP!

  • @IBringIt666 This could mean that you need to reposition the black pad below the center button. To do this you would need to remove the faceplate to see the pads. If you do this and find the center button does make the "pop" or "click" then it has worked, if not you would need to replace the logic board. The actual buttons for Center, Menu, Play, FF, RR are located on the logic board. The clickwheel itself handles only the scrolling of the menu and volume up/down. We sell all these parts.

  • @DigiExpress thanks

  • @TheLandMoose it may not be connected properly, but the reason to connect the wheel to the logic board would be for the scrolling to work.

not sure why its not letting you select the input buttons.

is it click as a pressing sound. and is it easy to press on? and is the button sunk inside?

because it could be that the ipod is not having the contacts being pressed

  • TO GIVE YOU ALL A WARNING, IT IS MUCH MUCH EASIER TO TAKE APART THEN TO PUT BACK TOGETHER. DO NOT TRY THIS UNLESS YOU ARE CONFIDENT YOU CAN.
