@thestrawhead Yeah. cool thing was they had the more powerful 87 Buick GNX spec motor. A guy used to race one at the local street races here in the late 90s. Lightly modded low 12 seconds and looked completely stock. He suckered a lot of 5.0s and IROCs :)

these cars are flat out awesome. I remember the Car and Driver issue that featured this car and had it as the quickest car ever tested in 1989. Quicker than any Ferrari, 911 turbo, Lamborghini,etc.... I remember racing one at a stop light in my z28. I jumped the light by a good 4 car lengths, and then got completely embarressed as the T/A was still squeeling the tires as it was passing me. You just didn't have 0- 60 in 4.6 secs. from a factory car back then. Big money collectable in 5-10 yrs.
