By your good english and residence in Hong Kong I'm quite sure you are heavily "westernized". In China by large and many other countries, armpit hair is still quite normal. So it's just a conditioning that you don't like it natural.
For me, all natural body hair is nice and beautiful, and since body hair has important functions (e.g. pheromones to find the right partner & shows maturity), I actually know by logic that the recent trend of extreme hair removal is a perversion from eg. porn, ads...
