I agree with Psychawareness, If there was no rivalry, We would still be using our sold sony walkmans with Audio cassets rather than Itouch or our Ipods..
Historic convergence on one stage of two brilliant guys whose place in history is pretty much completely nailed. Too bad they couldn't get professional/competent interviewers to match the interviewees. But thanks for posting these clips!
what if Jobs and Gates made a collaboration together that took the strong points of of both OS X and Windows to make a new OS? I wonder what it would turn out to be like?
I agree with moureen812. I'm personally a pc guy and have no real affinity to switch over to a mac, but Steve Jobs seems to be really in touch with the youth and because of it has taken apple very far. My problem with this interview tho is that it seemed very one sided. Everyone was a pc user. It was a little too bias for my liking.
I agree and I feel the same way. Steve is the underdog here and taking a lot of heat this whole interview but he managed to keep up with Microsoft all these years and more to come.
Not the biggest apple fan out there, however, Steve Jobs is a very respectable guy. Kick ass interview towards the end, no thanks to the idiot interviewers. Brilliant.
This interview is historic data. We could fairly noticed the two approches that built this industry a sensitive and a more racional one. But both were on the experiment and risk field and influenced one another in huge aspects. As Bill said, Steve has always had a more design intuition than him. Bill was the guy that seased oppurtinities in a rational way. Steve, on the other hand, has always tried to create new things in complete innovating ways. Watch this guys, really good stuff...

On the other hand, there probably wouldn't be any rivalry between Mac and PC users.
