hmm I think I still prefer the original ending, even though Shinji died. (ToT) oh god I had to grab a few Kleenexes to wipe those tears. good story, good story.

anyway, the true ending of the series is that everybody lives and shiro kanzaki fixed the mess. but darn it, i want to see ryuki use the 3 survive cards to fix the mess himself.

I watched the ending of the Kamen Rider Ryuki too. Actually, Ryuki was fighting not just to fix everything but also to keep Yui alive much like Shiro did. It was Yui who asked both of them repeatedly not to fight for her sake.

Too bad, Odin kicked his ass leaving Knight to finish the job since Knight's own wish is to keep his girlfriend alive.

well, we have the original kamen rider manga of 1971 to thank for that. kamen rider 1 died fighting the 12 shocker riders and kamen rider 2 (one of the twelve) took 1's place as the new hero. kamen ricer 1 = ryuki, kamen rider 2 = knight. darn.

it was aired in japan september 19, 2002... between episodes 33 and 34. this is the 2nd ending; there are 3 endings the 3rd one is a comics which comes with the DVD...
