  • Oh yes, I didn't think about the fact that you already know Chinese! In any case, 8 years is a lot! I hope to learn Kanji by simply learning to first recognise the character and later moving towards meaning, writing and pronunciation. After copying lot of Japanese sentences and phrases, I tend to remember kanji that repeat a lot and it's a lot more fun that to study characters one by one!

  • I don't study kanji because I already know them from chinese, I struggled so hard during 8 years and eventually it helps ! I just study the pronunciation of it !

  • Hey, nice to hear from you! I know what you mean. However this is not the way I study kanji. I am addicted to making lists but I never usually study kanji at all. I basically learn it without learning - just remember after frequent use How do you study kanji?

  • May I ask you something? Do you study kanji like this? I mean in lists? If so, I'm pretty sure you always forget them. Am I right? I mean it's better if you learn kanjis from a text and not from a list. It's just an advise ...
