  • Karen Carpenter rocks! To this day!

  • @ktypestar I'm a workaholic too - you mention work, and I get drunk! Seriously, I'm sure you're productive - don't rush yourself to the grave, it will get here soon enough. I just lost my dad, as well as three other people in my life this past year - enjoy those those with whom you are blessed. Life is way too fleeting. No man is an island (if he was, he'd have to lose some serious weight!).

  • Perfect pitch... awesome songs. What a beautiful voice.

  • Some of the best produced songs. Listen to the orchestration, arrangement...... well executed by the best musicians of the time.

  • @wrbegin Hi...I should get into music, but with so many things going on all the time in my life (I tend to be a really bad workaholic) I'm always busy....I tend to remember stuff from when I was growing up, as it has stuck with me throughout the decades-even though I may have not heard a certain song since the last century... :^)

  • @ktypestar

Anyway I could suggest other artists? There are so many. Try Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli duet The Prayer-Outstanding

  • the best

  • @wrbegin You know, even though I try to keep a working knowledge of music, about all I really "listen to" are the Carpenters...Everything else is mostly noise to me on the radio...LOL!

  • @greenwich1754 Thanks for your compliment. Karen definitelyy made an impression on me growing up-Mom bought Carpenter's 8-tracks-their music was always in our house. Carpenters songs were ones I could actually understand the lyrics. (Thank you, Richard!) And Karens' voice...That one-of-a-kind, beautiful haunting voice.. I thought it was interesting Christmas Day on the drive up to Westlake Village, I kept scanning the radio-always seemed to find one of Karen's songs playing...
