Whats sad about this song also was Dermot Crowley had only returned to Cork to attend his comrade Tony Ahern's only a few weeks earlier. They both did Cork proud and upheld the long resistence to British rule in our country. They will never be forgotten & although their goals have not yet been achieved, when Ireland is re-united their souls will rest in peace. Fuair siad bás ar son saoirse na hÉireann.
