I Love the way Russians do not know their history.
Kuban Cossaks come from Ukraine, from Zaporizha, originally Zapororzhian Cossaks. Some won & settled in Kuban and then were known as the Kubansky Cossaks. They were disbanded by Catherine [the great ?] a German princess married to the Czar and managed to dispose of him. Kuban Cossaks sing & speak in Ukrainian.Stalin's Holodomor nearly wiped them out for their loyalty to Ukraine and its culture and traditions. Their Russian is Shurzyk, a hybrid.

Seeing as you are a Cossack, I have a question about your culture.
Is one born into being a Cossack, or is it a title you acquire after integrating yourself into the culture, and serving in a Cossack unit?
I'm not trying to become a Cossack, I'm just curious about your culture. Unfortunately, I know little of it, aside that Cossacks are supposedly great mounted infantry.

That pretty stupid and ignorant what your speaking. I am kuban cossack and you disgust me. I serve sovereign Great Russia along with ever other cossack host weather be Don, Kuban,Kalmyk and so on. Not one host will ever fight for ukraine. The ones living in eastern Ukraine are loyal to Russia and fight for it alone. There now sending miltias to fight along side Russian forces and even ones in ukraine wish to enter cossack units in Russia army like we do. They will even fight agianst ukraine.
