@arjean0110 there is also MuseScore- I have this, it might be a little tricky to get used to, but it is free and it offers a few things that finale cannot; like unlimited staves, better page layout, a more organized notation format... etc.

So this program lets you create your own music sheet, add notations and prints it, instead of printing music sheet and writing the notations by hand?

how do i add a fermata

Click on the Articulation Tool (an accent sign). Then click on the note where you want the fermata or pause. A selection box of articulations appears, including the fermata. Select it. If you play your file, you will find that the fermata actually works!
